Muscle Building
Why is building muscle important?
Building lean muscle helps increase bone density, manage weight, decrease risk of chronic disease, and improve quality of life. Muscles act as an “engine” that burns calories, even at rest. In fact, “for every pound of muscle you gain, your body uses about 50 extra calories a day." Most importantly building muscle increases individuals confidence and mental strength as building muscle is a hard thing to do for anyone. The thought in individuals minds that they achieved something is priceless and will stay with them forever, allowing them to apply the same principles in all aspects of their life.
